would sunless tanning lotion make my freckles darker?

I have a pale face with lots of freckles and i like them, but they get kind of annoying when they get dark, so i was planning to use sunless tanning lotion to make my pale face darker so my freckles would seem lighter, but i dont know if it works. has anyone with freckles tried sunless tanning lotion on their face? what are the results?

i used to use a natural glow lotion and a loreal sunless tanning spray on my face. i had a few freckles, and it didn’t make them darker. and any other sunless tanner that i’ve used (even the mystic and versaspa spray on tans) never darkened them. it made them look a lot better and the color looked fine.
