how do i get rid of an uneven tan from shorts?

Ok so I had a yard sale and I sat in a chair most of the day in the sun with shorts and a tank top when I am in my swimsuit you can clearly see were my shorts came to. The only reason I care is I live in an apartment that’s complex is almost full so everybody everyday is up at the pool. You can only tell that I have an odd tan when I’m in the sun. I do not like sun damage and I don’t go to tanning beds. I swim 24/7, I am going swimming all weekend starting Thursday and do not want my legs to look weird. All I want to do is even them out just to were you can not tell I was wearing shorts and so you can not tell that from the bottom of my knees bellow are lighter that from the bottom of my knees up. Can u please help me fix this FAST! I don’t know if this will help but I use Coppertone continuous spray sport SPF 30; and have ocean potion 100% pure aloe gel and banana boat aloe after sun lotion. use a fake tan from the grocery store! Nutrogena spray on works really well because you get really even coverage with the spray action and you dont have to get tanning lotion all over your hands that leaves them orange and your tan looking streaky. Believe me the spray on works!
