There Are 3 Ways to Spray Tan

If you are ready to get a spray tan then you should know that there are basically two different ways you can get it. The two ways are mechanically or manually. These two ways will normally give you a natural looking tan with slightly better results if you go the manual way. Other things can determine which way you go like how much time you have or what you find more comfortable.

To get a tan mechanically is getting it in a spray tanning booth. This is a large machine operated booth that has nozzles in different areas. When you are ready tanning solution will be sprayed out of the nozzles and onto your skin. If you are standing in the right positions you should have your entire body covered very well. When you go to a tanning salon the staff will give you further instructions on what to do and what to wear. You should also be offered nose plugs and goggles for protection. Beware of getting the chemicals into your body; they can be hazardous to your health. A tanning booth can be ideal if you are in a hurry because it is done quicker than a manual tan.

When a technician applies the spray tan by hand onto your body this is called an airbrush tan. They will cover your body section by section with a low pressure mist gun. This gives you slightly better results than a booth because a technician can see the areas they have missed. You also wouldn’t need to wear protective goggle because they definitely wouldn’t try to get the stuff in your eyes or nose. Since it is done by hand one area at a time then it would take a little more time. So don’t make any plans after the tan until you are done.

Some people prefer the booth just because it is more private. Some might not find it comfortable for another person to look at every speck of their body. Which ever technique you like best taking care of the tan will be the same. The tips are not to wear tight clothing or sneakers, don’t take a shower too soon and don’t rub any areas where the tan can wipe off. Choosing the booth or choosing the airbrush  are the two choices you will be given at the salon so you should thing about which one you prefer before getting there.
